v2.0: Import from Anywhere

AUGUST 2026

Released

Bringing existing customer data into a new CRM has always been the single biggest obstacle to actually adopting one. This release closes that gap. Pragma can now ingest data from any CSV your team already has, match the columns to the right fields for you, and let you undo the whole thing if it doesn't come out the way you expected.

Highlights

Intelligent column matching

  • Upload a CSV exported from HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, an internal list, or a hand-typed sheet; Pragma reads the headers and maps each column to the right Pragma field
  • Handles variations like “Where From” to Lead Source, “Contract $” to Deal Value, and “Estimated Company Size” to the right band
  • Every suggested mapping is editable in one click, and unwanted columns can be ignored individually
  • Turns an afternoon of manual mapping into a review step that takes seconds

Ready-made templates for teams that prefer to start fresh

  • Downloadable CSV templates for Leads, Contacts, and Companies, each with the correct headers and one worked example row
  • Fill in the template in Excel or Google Sheets alongside your team, save, and upload it back
  • Templated headers are recognised automatically, skipping straight to the review screen

Duplicate handling on your terms

  • Every import checks incoming rows against the workspace and flags matches on email address, or company name for company imports
  • Choose per import: skip duplicates, overwrite them with the new values, or add them all as separate records
  • The choice is captured in the import history for unambiguous review later

One-click revert on every import

  • Pragma records exactly what changed during each import: which records were created, and what every updated field looked like before it was overwritten
  • A single Revert button, from the import history screen, deletes everything the import created and restores updated records to their exact pre-import state
  • Lets teams experiment with imports without keeping a manual backup of the workspace

Import history you can audit

  • Every import stays in Settings with date, file name, who ran it, and the counts of what was created, updated, and skipped
  • Anyone with admin or manager access can review history, revert an import, or troubleshoot a specific row

v1.9: Guided First Run

AUGUST 2026

Released

First impressions decide whether a new tool actually gets used. This release rebuilds the very first hour inside Pragma from the ground up so that both admins spinning up a new workspace and teammates joining an existing one feel oriented, productive, and welcomed rather than overwhelmed.

Highlights

Interactive product tour for new teammates

  • Runs the first time anyone opens Pragma, whether they just created the workspace or were invited into an existing one
  • Visits every module in turn, dimming the rest of the screen and spotlighting the relevant part of the sidebar with an explanatory card
  • Finishes on the integrations screen with an invitation to connect their inbox

A signup form that gets out of the way

  • Full name is now two clean fields side by side instead of one long combined input
  • The field that used to say “Workspace name” is now the more familiar “Company Name”
  • Small changes, meaningfully faster to get through, especially on a phone

A finish line worth crossing

  • Onboarding now ends with a full-screen celebration and a confetti burst the moment the last step is complete
  • Replaces what used to feel like being dumped at the front door of the app

Focused onboarding without an escape hatch

  • Once a brand-new admin begins onboarding, the app guides them through to the end rather than letting them abandon it half-configured
  • The wizard is fast (most teams finish in under three minutes) with sensible defaults at every step, so guided never means blocked

v1.8: Cleaner Insights, Smarter Filters

MAY 2026

Released

Insights and every dropdown in the product got a considered rework. The result is an analytics experience that stops feeling like a form to fill in and starts feeling like a proper dashboard, and controls that respond the way modern web apps are supposed to respond.

Highlights

A single Filters modal on Insights

  • The toolbar is now a small set of period pills (Month, Quarter, Year) plus a single Filters button
  • The Filters panel groups Owner, Pipeline (Acquisition and Growth), Deal Kind, Lead Source, and Deal Size together
  • A badge shows how many filters are active, one click resets them all, and Apply batches every change before re-running the reports

Split renewal and upsell figures from new-business figures

  • A new Deal Kind filter separates Acquisition (net-new business) from Growth (renewals plus upsells)
  • Keeps renewal ARR from inflating new-business conversion rates, so forecasts can target the right pool of deals
  • Applied consistently across the executive summary, forecast, and funnel views

A better dropdown, everywhere

  • Every native browser dropdown in the app, over three dozen of them, was replaced with a rebuilt Pragma component
  • Looks and feels consistent regardless of browser or operating system
  • Fully keyboard accessible, auto-searchable for long lists, groups options with headings, flips upward near the bottom of the window, and animates open and closed

v1.7: Confirmations, Account Deletion, and Platform Branding

JULY 2026

Released

This release gives admins more control over their workspace and gives every confirmation dialogue in the product a proper, branded home. A number of small changes that together make Pragma feel more like a platform and less like a browser.

Highlights

Self-serve workspace deletion

  • Admins can permanently delete their workspace from Settings without emailing support
  • Protected by a two-stage confirmation: an intent screen followed by a password re-entry
  • Cannot proceed while a paid subscription is active, so a mis-click can never orphan a billing relationship
  • Completion wipes every piece of workspace data in one go and writes an audit record for compliance

Every confirmation dialogue rebuilt in-app

  • Native browser confirmation and prompt pop-ups are replaced with a branded, in-app modal
  • Supports plain confirmations, text-entry prompts, and password re-entry prompts
  • Used everywhere: settings, detail pages, notes, moves, deliverables, and the superadmin console

Header and body script injection for platform admins

  • Three new Settings fields inject custom HTML into the page head, top of body, or bottom of body
  • Opens the door to an analytics tag, a live chat widget, or a marketing pixel with no code changes
  • Snippets are size-capped for safety and applied idempotently, so refreshing a page never doubles them up

v1.6: Onboarding Wizard

JUNE 2026

Released

New admin accounts now walk through a full-screen, guided setup that turns a blank workspace into something ready for real work in under three minutes. The wizard was designed so that no step feels like a chore and every step is skippable where skipping makes sense.

Highlights

A nine-step guided setup

  • Walks admins through a warm welcome, an optional profile photo, company name and industry, default currency (a tiled grid of twenty options), the main types of work delivered, acquisition pipeline setup, a first teammate invite, and a celebration screen
  • Every screen is full-height with no sidebar distraction

Smart defaults so nobody has to think too hard

  • Every step arrives pre-filled with the choice most teams make
  • The starter acquisition pipeline is already configured; currency defaults to USD but can be swapped in one tap
  • Photo and first invite are optional, so fast movers can be done in under two minutes
  • Admins who want to customise every pipeline stage can do that in the same flow

A satisfying finish line

  • A celebration screen with a forty-piece multi-colour confetti burst
  • A large Get Started button drops the new admin straight into their dashboard

v1.5: Pipelines, Roles, and Knowledge Base

JUNE 2026

Released

Larger teams and more sophisticated sales motions need more structure. This release introduces separate treatment of net-new-business pipelines and post-sale growth pipelines, exposes the roles and titles the team members hold, and ships a proper self-serve help centre for the whole product.

Highlights

Separate Acquisition and Growth pipelines

  • Acquisition pipelines cover the classic new-business funnel: prospect, qualified, negotiation, won
  • Growth pipelines cover renewals and upsells, each with their own stages, probabilities, and reporting
  • Growth deals inherit intelligently from their originating acquisition deal, so renewal opportunities appear automatically without manual re-entry

Job titles on every teammate

  • Every user now has a free-text Job Title field alongside their permission role
  • Titles show up on the Users table in Settings, in the invite modal, and on personal profiles
  • Separates what someone does from how much access they have inside Pragma

Roles on leads that follow them into contacts

  • New leads capture the role or job title of the person you’re talking to
  • That role carries across automatically when the lead is qualified and converted into a contact, with no re-typing

A published customer knowledge base

  • A customer-facing knowledge base now lives at /kb, covering every module of the product in detail
  • Includes admin, manager, and sales rep flows, two-factor setup, inbox connection, signatures, tracking, Acquisition versus Growth pipelines, Insights forecasting, and an FAQ
  • Available in the browser, as a printable PDF, and as a downloadable ZIP with every screenshot

v1.4: Pragma AI

MAY 2026

Released

Every serious CRM in 2026 needs to help sales reps read the room. Pragma AI is a pair of built-in helpers that live directly on every deal page and answer two questions reps ask themselves constantly: where is this deal actually at, and what should I do next?

Highlights

Timeline Summary

  • One click on any deal returns a one-line headline plus three to five short bullet points on what’s actually happened
  • Reads every logged activity, note, completed move, and stage change to build the summary
  • Built for the moment before a call, a pipeline review, or catching a colleague up

Suggest Next Action

  • Recommends one specific, concrete next step based on the deal’s actual situation, not a generic template
  • Every suggestion includes a short explanation of the reasoning and an urgency badge for prioritising across your book
  • Refreshes automatically as the deal progresses, or on demand with a Refresh button

Fully built in, no extra setup

  • Part of every plan: no separate signup, no additional billing tier, no external configuration, no keys to paste in
  • Available to everyone on the team the moment they open a deal

v1.3: Inbox, Signatures, and Email Tracking

APRIL 2026

Released

This release makes the connection between Pragma and the inbox where sales conversations actually happen. Every email you send or receive with a Pragma contact now appears on their timeline automatically, and you can see the exact moment they engage with what you sent.

Highlights

One-click Gmail connection

  • Connect Gmail once via a proper OAuth flow, so your password never touches Pragma
  • Every email exchanged with a contact or lead already in the CRM starts appearing on their history timeline
  • Personal email with people who aren’t in the CRM never enters Pragma
  • Sync runs continuously in the background; a settings panel covers status, preferences, and disconnecting

A signature editor that respects your brand

  • Signatures are created and stored as proper rich HTML rather than plain text
  • Bold, italic, links, formatting, inline images, and brand colours are all supported
  • Auto-appended to every email sent from Pragma, in both HTML and plain-text versions

See exactly when your emails are opened and clicked

  • Every email sent from Pragma is instrumented with an open tracker and link click tracker
  • Opens and clicks appear as timeline events on the deal or contact, with the exact time
  • Takes the guesswork out of follow-up: you know when a proposal’s been read and a document visited

A celebration when you connect

  • A confetti burst plays the moment your inbox is successfully linked
  • Offers to walk you straight to the signature editor to finish setting things up

Profile photos

  • Users can upload a profile photo directly from their profile settings
  • Photos are automatically resized to a clean 512-by-512 square
  • Appears next to their name across the app: header, assignment dropdowns, team roster, and everywhere else you’d expect

v1.2: Unified Details, Global Search, and Smart Merging

APRIL 2026

Released

The screens where sales teams spend most of their day (the lead, contact, deal, and company detail pages) were reworked to bring them into line with the way the best modern CRMs are laid out. Along with the layout came a family of features that make finding, cleaning, and connecting records dramatically faster.

Highlights

A unified Details card on every detail page

  • Contacts, leads, deals, and companies now share a single, consistent Details card in the right rail
  • Every field shows an icon, a label, and its value; hover reveals a pencil icon, click to edit in place
  • Press Enter or click away to save, Escape to abandon changes
  • Created and updated timestamps sit at the top of every card

Right rail summary, wider left column

  • The details summary now lives on the right, freeing the wider left column for notes, the activity timeline, the moves queue, forecasted revenue, deliverables, and more
  • Same information as before, arranged the way your eye actually wants to scan it

Global search from anywhere in the app

  • A command-style search popover, opened from the top bar or a keyboard shortcut
  • Jump instantly to any lead, contact, company, deal, client, move, or deliverable by typing a few characters
  • Results are grouped by type and one keystroke away from the record itself

Notifications you can act on without leaving the page

  • A notifications bell surfaces every overdue move, follow-up reminder, and system alert in one place
  • Dismiss items individually, mark them all read, or click through to the record that needs attention
  • The unread count stays visible so nothing important goes cold

Company autocomplete when you type a company name

  • New lead and contact forms offer inline autocomplete when you start typing a company name
  • Picking one links the new record to the existing company and quietly builds an accurate company graph in the background

Duplicate detection with one-click merging

  • Saving a lead or contact whose email matches an existing record triggers a warning and a Merge Into button
  • Merging fills empty fields on the target from the source, moves every note, move, activity, and linked deal across, and preserves who did what for audit purposes
  • Deletes the source cleanly, and works across record types, so a lead can merge into an existing contact

Cleaner activity history for multi-field edits

  • Updating several fields on a record in one go now logs a single summary entry naming what changed
  • Replaces a wall of separate activity lines, so skimming a timeline is fast again

v1.1: Security, Access, and Branded Emails

MARCH 2026

Released

Every part of Pragma that touches a password or an inbox got a serious upgrade in this release. The bar for what an SMB sales team should reasonably expect from the security posture of its CRM has moved on, and this release moves Pragma confidently past that bar.

Highlights

Mandatory two-factor authentication on every login

  • Every login (user, manager, admin, or superadmin) requires a six-digit code sent to the account holder’s email
  • Codes expire in ten minutes, are single-use, and lock after five wrong attempts
  • A per-address rate limit on sending prevents the flow from being used to spam an inbox
  • A hard requirement, not a preference, from the moment this release lands

Trusted device recognition

  • Checking “trust this device” during verification skips the code on that browser for the next fourteen days
  • The cookie is bound to that specific browser and can’t be exfiltrated by scripts on other pages
  • Automatically revoked if the account’s password is changed

Set-your-own-password invitations

  • Admins no longer set a temporary password when inviting a teammate
  • Invitees get a branded email with a one-click link to choose their own password
  • Links are valid for seven days, single-use, and enforce the full password policy
  • Admins never see the credential and teammates never inherit one

Self-service password reset

  • A proper forgot-password flow lives on the login screen
  • Reset links expire in thirty minutes and can only be used once
  • Links deliberately reveal nothing about whether an email address is registered
  • Successfully resetting a password revokes every trusted device on the account

A stronger password policy with live feedback

  • Tightened to ten characters minimum, requiring letters, digits, and a symbol
  • A live checklist shows what’s still needed as the user types, instead of an error after clicking submit
  • Applied uniformly to signup, invite setup, password reset, self-service change, and admin-provided credentials

Branded transactional email

  • Verification codes, password reset links, teammate invitations, and workspace notifications all use a shared branded HTML layout
  • Your logo and accent colour appear, and the layout renders correctly across every major mail client

v1.0: Pragma Foundation

FEBRUARY 2026

Released

The foundation of Pragma, a practical CRM built specifically for small and mid-size sales teams who want the power of an enterprise system without the setup cost, the licence cost, or the sprawl. This first release includes every module a growing team actually uses day-to-day, wired together in a single opinionated, fast experience.

Highlights

Multi-tenant workspaces with strict data separation

  • Every workspace is fully isolated from every other workspace
  • Tenancy is enforced at the database layer on every read and write, with no shared collections that could leak
  • Teams can invite people and grow with total confidence their pipeline is theirs alone

Role-based access for admins, managers, and sales reps

  • Admins own workspace configuration, billing, users, and pipelines
  • Managers oversee the sales floor and see every deal across every rep
  • Sales reps focus on their own book, with visibility into shared resources but not other reps’ private records
  • Every action is logged with the user who took it, for audit purposes

Kanban pipelines for both acquisition and growth

  • Deals are managed on drag-and-drop kanban boards, one column per stage
  • Fully customisable acquisition pipelines for new-business deals, and separate growth pipelines for renewals and upsells
  • Every stage has a weighted probability feeding forecasted revenue; lost deals capture a reason from a workspace-defined list

A lead inbox that keeps qualification tidy

  • Every incoming lead lands in the Lead Inbox, a dedicated board for qualifying or disqualifying with a clear disposition
  • Qualified leads convert cleanly into contacts and deals in one action
  • Disqualified leads keep their history, so patterns can be spotted across sources and reasons

Contacts and companies with rich detail pages

  • People and the accounts they belong to each get a full-detail page: conversations, deals, moves, notes, and activity in one place
  • Contacts link to companies automatically as records are created, giving managers an accurate account map

Moves: the follow-up queue that keeps deals warm

  • Moves are the tasks that carry a deal forward: the follow-up call, the demo, the email, the proposal
  • Every rep has a personal queue with today’s actions, tomorrow’s actions, and anything overdue
  • Overdue moves surface automatically as notifications, so nothing gets quietly forgotten

Clients and deliverables for post-sale work

  • Winning a deal turns it into a client, and the deliverables agreed in that deal become trackable work
  • Renewal dates surface early, with post-sale work visible alongside the sales history that led to it

An Insights dashboard that answers the questions managers ask

  • Answers the five questions a manager asks every week: on track to hit the number, where the pipeline is coming from, who’s carrying the team, where deals get stuck, and how busy the team actually is
  • Rolling twelve-month forecast, funnel conversion, revenue by owner and by pipeline, and a daily activity heatmap all on one page

Fourteen-day free trial and per-seat billing

  • Every new workspace begins with a fourteen-day free trial that unlocks the entire product, no card required
  • When the trial ends, teams subscribe at twenty-nine dollars per seat per month
  • Billing (subscribe, add or remove seats, update your card, cancel, or resume) is handled end-to-end from within Pragma

Instant self-serve signup

  • A fully-provisioned Pragma workspace can be created in under sixty seconds from the signup page
  • Pipelines are pre-seeded, the trial is activated, the admin account is created, and the workspace is ready for real work immediately
